How does the Combined course work?

For your first 6 weekends, you’ll study a streamlined version of our Massage course and some of your Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology (A&P) will be studied online. You can view a free trial of this online programme here.
You will then take your Holistic and A&P exams and will be qualified to start practicing as a Holistic massage therapist.

Your last 8 weekends are then devoted to Sports and Remedial Massage and Sports Treatments training and additional A&P. Following this study you will sit your final exams to qualify as a Sports Massage therapist.

What will I learn on this course?

 

During your Massage training you will learn:

  • A large repertoire of massage techniques to allow you to perform a first-rate full body Holistic massage
  • Hands-on supervised practice of all techniques
  • Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology
  • Various carrier oils and their properties Benefits of massage and contra-indications
  • Postural assessment
  • Client care, ethics and conducting consultations
  • First aid and hygiene

You will then go on to study the Sports & Remedial element of your course:

  • Myofascial release and Connective Tissue
  • Jones Strain Counter strain / Positional Release
  • Taping and strapping
  • Cryotherapy / Thermotherapy

  • Treatment of chronic and acute conditions
  • Advanced joint and muscle anatomy
