Are You ready to go on a sports massage course?
We are pleased to be able to include on our timetable the Fast Track BTEC Sports Massage Diploma for people who want to study quickly. The course is run as three blocks of five dynamic days following the principles of accelerated learning.
This sports massage course is for qualified massage therapists who wish to study the sports massage diploma only.
Held in London (MaidaVale) this is an ideal opportunity for students who cannot attend courses held at weekends.
You will be taught advanced remedial and deep tissue techniques in order to provide more effective treatment before and after sport or exercise, which will assist performance, help to prevent injury and aid recovery from injury. You will deepen your understanding of common sports injuries, be able to offer appropriate treatment or referral and will further expand your knowledge of the effect of use and overuse on muscle anatomy and physiology.
Theory will include the anatomy and injuries of: Is the Sports Massage Diploma course only applicable to those wanting to specialise in Sports Massage?
No! - These techniques are applicable for the treatment of anyone with tense, tight muscles and are invaluable for all massage therapists.
Can anyone take the Fast Track sports massage course?
Yes! Providing you currently hold a recognised qualification in Massage, Anatomy and Physiology (ITEC/BTEC or equivalent).
What are the sports massage course requirements?
50 hours home practice inclusive of case studies (for qualified therapists)
1 hour practical examination
2.5 hour theory paper
After qualification you can join the APNT, BCMA and IRSA

APNT (The Association of Physical and Natural Therapists) is a member of the British Complementary Medicine Association (BCMA) and was formed in 1986 to examine and represent therapists who have undergone thorough training to professional standards.
It plays an active role in setting and maintaining high standards in both the training and practice of Bodywork Practitioners. On completion of the Diploma graduates can benefit from insurance cover, professional representation, a register of graduates and a newsletter.
